Setting it up

  1. 1

    Create a private Selling Partner API app in Seller Central, then give FLUX its credentials, your seller ID, region and marketplaces.

  2. 2

    Connect Odoo with an API key. On Odoo 17 or later, FLUX sets up the automation rules itself.

  3. 3

    Choose which way products go. For listings created from Odoo, set the Amazon product type and identifier (GTIN) each one needs.

Limits, stated plainly

  • Amazon orders are not written into Odoo yet: Amazon shares no customer record, and Odoo needs a customer on every sale order.

  • A new listing needs an Amazon product type and a GTIN, or an exemption from Amazon.

  • Amazon accepting a listing does not mean it is live; Amazon may still review it.

  • Amazon categories are chosen as product types and browse nodes, not synced from Odoo.

Questions

Can FLUX bring Amazon orders into Odoo?

Not yet. Amazon sends orders without a customer record, and Odoo refuses a sale order without a customer. Orders from Shopify, WooCommerce, noon and Namshi do reach Odoo.

Does it handle variations?

Yes. An Amazon variation family comes into Odoo as one product with variants, and Odoo variants can be listed on Amazon as a family.

Which marketplaces are supported?

The ones your Seller Central account sells in, within one region. You mark one as the primary marketplace.

How does real time work with Amazon?

Amazon sends its listing change notifications to a queue that FLUX reads, so a change made on Amazon is picked up within moments rather than at the next scheduled pull.
