What syncs

Each flow is a step you turn on, in the direction shown. Real time means FLUX reacts to the platform’s own notifications, with scheduled pulls as a safety net.

  • Orders

    Shopify→ERPNextReal time

    Each order becomes an ERPNext sales order shortly after it is placed, with its lines matched to ERPNext items.

  • Customers

    Shopify→ERPNextReal time

    Customers are created or updated in ERPNext before their orders arrive.

  • Products

    ERPNext→ShopifyScheduled

    ERPNext items become Shopify products, with the fields you choose.

  • Categories

Setting it up

    Create an app for your store in the Shopify Dev Dashboard and give FLUX its client ID and secret.

    Connect ERPNext with its API credentials.

    Choose which system leads: typically items from ERPNext, and orders and customers from Shopify.

    Turn on the flows. Shopify changes arrive in real time; ERPNext is read on a schedule.

Limits, stated plainly

  • Stock does not sync between ERPNext and Shopify yet.

  • ERPNext is read on a schedule, so an item changed there reaches Shopify at the next pull.

  • Tracking numbers do not travel from ERPNext back to Shopify yet.

  • ERPNext needs a customer on every sales order, so an order with no customer at all cannot be written.

Questions

Does stock sync between ERPNext and Shopify?

Not yet. FLUX does not read or write ERPNext stock levels today. If your stock lives in Odoo, FLUX can send it to Shopify instead.

Can Shopify products go into ERPNext instead?

Yes. You choose the direction of each flow, so products and customers can go from Shopify to ERPNext.

How quickly do Shopify orders reach ERPNext?

Within moments. Shopify notifies FLUX of each new order, and FLUX writes it to ERPNext straight away, retrying automatically if ERPNext is briefly unavailable.
