What syncs

Each flow is a step you turn on, in the direction shown. Real time means FLUX reacts to the platform’s own notifications, with scheduled pulls as a safety net.

    Each order becomes an Odoo sale order moments after it is placed, with its lines matched to Odoo products.

    Customers are created or updated in Odoo before their orders arrive.

Setting it up

  1. 1

    Create an app for your store in the Shopify Dev Dashboard and give FLUX its client ID and secret. FLUX never needs your Shopify password.

  2. 2

    Connect Odoo with an API key. On Odoo 17 or later, FLUX sets up the automation rules itself.

  3. 3

    Products already on both sides? Add a Map only step: FLUX links them by SKU and changes nothing.

    Turn on the flows you want, and choose which system leads for each.

Limits, stated plainly

  • Tracking numbers do not travel from Odoo back to Shopify yet. Fulfil in Shopify or with your shipping app.

  • Stock goes one way, from Odoo to Shopify. Shopify stock is not written back into Odoo.

  • Smart collections are never written; categories become manual collections.

  • Odoo needs a customer on every sale order, so an order with no customer at all cannot be written.

  • Automatic updates from Odoo need Odoo 17 or later, and stock is read from Odoo on a schedule.

Questions

Do I need an app from the Shopify App Store?

No. You create an app for your own store in the Shopify Dev Dashboard, and FLUX uses its credentials. Nothing is installed from the App Store.

Can Shopify be the source of products instead of Odoo?

Yes. You choose the direction of each flow, so products can go from Shopify to Odoo if that is where your team edits them.

Will FLUX duplicate products that already exist on both sides?

No. A Map only step matches products by SKU and records the link without changing either side. Anything it cannot match, you link by hand.

Can several Odoo warehouses feed one Shopify location?

Yes. Map any number of warehouses onto each location; FLUX adds up the available quantity and sends it, including zero when something sells out.
